Yoga is a great way to relax, become more flexible and to improve your overall fitness levels. The style of yoga I teach is called Sivananda Hatha Yoga. It is aimed at all levels of expertise and is a perfect form of yoga to relieve the day to day stresses of the modern way of life.

I offer yoga sessions on a one to one basis as well as for small and larger groups.

What is Sivananda Hatha Yoga?

The Sivananda Hatha Yoga is practised throughout the world, brought to the West by Swami Sivananda in the sixties.

The main aim of Sivananda Hatha Yoga is to improve your posture, maintain flexibility and balance the body's systems with power breathing.

The Hatha Yoga has 5 basic principles which are -

Sivananda Hatha Yoga has 12 main postures with a few thousand variations - so you never get a chance to get bored of the same routine!

My Yoga Class - What happens in the class?

The class follows a format beginning with proper relaxation, proper breathing and proper movement - warming up the body ready for the postures and enabling the spine to move - forwards, backwards, sideways, to rotate and to invert. This all has a great effect toning muscles, joints and ligaments as well as maintaining a healthy digestive system, hormone and reproductive systems as well as lowering blood pressure.

The great thing is that it is an all round workout for everyone - from athletes to pregnant ladies to city and office workers, children and the elderly.

Pregnancy Yoga Sessions

A 90 minute combination of Pregnancy Massage and Yoga to compliment.  Start with a Yoga session involving breathing exercise, gentle and beneficial postures to alleviate lower back tension, then relax completely with a Pregnancy Massage.
